Helena Chwistek (1910 – 2002) was born in Milkowa, a village near Nowy Sacz. Her education went as far as primary school. She painted houses (inside and out) since she was a child. She started to paint paintings in 1985. She was married, had three children and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Chwistek’s paintings are housed in both private collections and in museums. She painted mostly landscapes and people, but she occasionally depicted religious themes.
